If too much was never enough for Morris Lapidus, the Fontainebleau Hotel was his ultimate expression. 1954 panache meant a curved and balconied façade, black-and-white bow-tie marble floors, glittering metallic tiles, and 17 running arches set with champagne-bubble windows.
