Viljo Revell merged the idioms of modernism and waste not, want not. Cutting Carrera marble to line the flutes of the towers’ back walls left a pile of cast offs. By 1965, he had collected enough to set them in gray terrazzo and create a stunning floor. Who could ask for more?
